Both Jenny and David had singles released back in the early 70’s - although neither were aware of this at the time (Jenny’s singles charted internationally!). They didn’t meet each other until 2017 at a Rock Choir rehearsal in Newbury and it became instantly clear that they had a common interest in pursuing a musical future in addition to the choir environment.

David has played the guitar since he was 10 years old and has been part of many duos, trios, etc., over the years. His passion for performing has led to him recording at various London studios (including Abbey Road), playing in orchestras, and being part of a performance at Her Majesty’s theatre in the Haymarket. He has perfected most of the different styles of playing which enables him to accompany singers of various genres - pop, jazz, folk, country etc, As a duo, Scampy perfect their art by learning and rehearsing their material whenever possible to well-defined arrangements - including the harmonies for which they have become reknowned.
